Televi-Kun (Japanese: てれびくん Terebikun) is a Japanese children's magazine published by Shogakukan. It includes games, manga and information about the franchises and the toys. Its first issue was released on May 1, 1976. Its main target is elementary school-aged boys. Like Yochien, Televi-Kun is known to have the Kamiwaza Wanda franchise featured in its publishings.

Magazine structure[]

Since its first issue in 1976, Televi-Kun has been showcasing its following sections.

  • Games
  • Manga
  • Information about kid-oriented franchises and toys

Televi-Kun also features franchises that a aimed for children, possibly for elementary school-aged boys. It features Japanses tokusatsu super heroes such as 'Kamen Rider', 'Super Sentai', 'Ultraman' and 'Metal Hero', all of whom have gone on to be cultural phenomena in Japan.

Each issue of Televi-Kun also contains a free gift such as a DVD and a papercraft kit.

Kamiwaza Wanda[]

Starting in 2016, Televi-Kun began featuring the Kamiwaza Wanda franchise in its publications. From the May 2016 issue to the March 2017 issue, Kamiwaza Wanda was featured in Televi-Kun during the franchise's original Kamiwaza Wanda anime season era.

One 2016 issue of Televi-Kun included a DVD, containing the original season premiere of Kamiwaza Wanda, as a free gift.

A September 2016 issue of Televi-Kun has a promotional Kamiwaza Pro-card of Burgemin and a Kamiwaza Wanda: Promin Catch hobby book as 2 of the 7 free gifts.

On the December 2016 issue of Televi-Kun, a toy based on Masato's Kamiwaza Power-Shot was showcased in the pages. However, the toy itself was cancelled for unknown reasons.

Televi-Kun is yet to have the Kamiwaza Wanda franchise featured in its publications again when a new Kamiwaza Wanda anime season debuts.
