Tokyo Broadcasting System (Japanese: 株式会社TBS Kabushiki-gaisha TBS), or TBS for short, is the channel who broadcasts Kamiwaza Wanda, starting on April 23, 2016. TBS rather broadcasts few anime unlike TV Tokyo, who is famous for broadcasting a lot of anime.
Broadcasting history[]
The TBS company was first founded in May 17, 1951 in Tokyo, Japan. The TBS channel first appeared on the Japanese televisions in April 1955 which was nearly 4 years later. Its first CEO was Adachi Masaru (1883 - 1973) who ran the channel company's office from the year TBS was founded in to 1960.

Since its debut, the TBS channel had broadcasted many programs throughout the years. It is also known for broadcasting the game show 'Takeshi's Castle' which first aired in Japan from May 2, 1986 to October 19, 1990.
Broadcasting anime[]
During the early 1960s, TBS began broadcasting anime shows on Japanese television. The first anime to be broadcasted by TBS was 'Otogi Manga Calender' which aired from 1962 to 1964. Since then, various more anime shows began to broadcast on TBS.
Animeism[]
On April 6, 2012, TBS launched a late night anime programing block going by the name of Animeism (Japanese: アニメイズム ). It is a rebrand of an ordinary anime programing block that was previously launched by the same channel back in October 2006. In April 2015, Animeism changed its schedule from Thursday night/Friday morning to Friday night/Saturday morning.
An expansion to the Animeism block, known as Super Animeism, was added on March 9, 2019. The said expansion then changed its name to Super Animeism Turbo on April 5, 2024.
For many years, TBS broadcasts anime shows under the Animesm block. Known examples are the 2023 magical girl anime 'Magical Destroyers', early 2024 anime 'Pon no Michi', 2022 adventure anime 'Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer' and the 'Yuki Yuna is a Hero' anime series.
AniSata[]
Starting from April 15, 2017, TBS launched a Saturday morning block known as AniSata (Japanese: アニサタ ) (Short for Anime Saturday 630 (Japanese: アニメサタデー630 )), consisting of 2 or 3 anime programs. The first 3 anime programs to air as part of the AniSata block were '100% Pascal Sensei', 'Pri-Pri Chii-Chan' and 'Tomica Driveheads'.
After 'Zoids Wild' and 'Shinkalion: The Animation' have finished airing on June 29, 2019, the AniSata block closed its doors.

Kamiwaza Wanda[]
In January 19, 2016, it was announced that TBS will broadcast the Kamiwaza Wanda anime series for the Kamiwaza Wanda franchise with help from Takara Tomy, staring from April 2016 with the original Kamiwaza Wanda anime season.
The original Kamiwaza Wanda anime season is the only season of the series to air on TBS.
Since April 2017, the Kamiwaza Wanda anime series went on a hiatus until a new anime season is announced, possibly for TV Tokyo.
