Shogakukan (Japanese: 株式会社小学館 Kabushiki gaisha Shōgakukan) is a company involved in Kamiwaza Wanda and a Japanese publishing company known for publishing various media in Japan.
History and works[]
Shogakukan was founded in August 8, 1922 by Takeo Ōga. Its headquarters is located in Tokyo, Japan. As of 2017, there were 728 employees working for Shogakukan. Within many years since the 1920's, Shogakukan has published many magazines, manga, picture-books, light-novels, DVDs and other products.
Manga magazines published by Shogakukan[]
Starting from 1959, Shogakukan began publishing various manga magazines. The first manga magazine that Shogakukan has published was Weekly Shōnen Sunday which was mostly aimed for boys. Shogakukan has published other manga magazines as well such as Monthly Shōnen Sunday for boys and Ciao for girls.
Shogakukan has also published manga magazines for older readers such as Big Comic for men and Petit Comic for women.

Shogakukan had been publishing activity and manga magazines for children, especially the preschool-aged ones.

Corocoro Comic[]
In May 5, 1977, Shogakukan began publishing Corocoro Comic. As it goes on, Corocoro Comic gained 2 sister comics: One of them is Corocoro Comic Special which released its first issue in 1981 and the other is Corocoro Ichiban which released its first issue in 2005.

Kamiwaza Wanda[]
In February 2016, Shogakukan began publishing Kamiwaza Wanda manga titles which began serialization. (See: Kamiwaza Wanda (manga line))
Kamiwaza Wanda (original manga series)[]
In 2016, Shogakukan began publishing the original Kamiwaza Wanda manga series, drawn by Chihiro Okitsune, for the children's manga magazine Corocoro Ichiban. The original Kamiwaza Wanda manga series is about Yuto who goes on an adventure with Wanda, capturing and debugging Bugmins and collecting Promins. The original Kamiwaza Wanda manga series lasted for only 13 chapters and were released in 3 volumes.
Kamiwaza Wanda: Mysterious Joker Promin Stories[]
Shogakukan also published spin-off manga titles of the Kamiwaza Wanda franchise. The first spin-off manga is the 4-koma Kamiwaza Wanda: Mysterious Joker Promin Stories which mainly focuses on the Promins, mostly Turbomin.

Shogakukan also distributated the Kamiwaza Wanda anime series on the DVDs, starting with the original Kamiwaza Wanda anime season.

- Shogakukan was also known for publishing the Japanese fashion magazine CanCam, starting from 1982.
- In February 15, 2018, Shogakukan had a controversial incident when Corocoro Comic released its March 2018 issue with a controversial image of a historical figure named Genghis Khan. In March 2018, the March 2018 issue of Corocoro Comic was later recalled and the Corocoro Comic website posted an apology from Asumi Yoshino who is the creator of 'Yarisugi!!! Itazura-kun'.
