Power-Catch Wanda: The Board Game (Korean translation: 파워캐치완다 보드게임) is a South Korean board game about Kamiwaza Wanda. It was first released in South Korea in 2016 by Samjin International.

Board game contents[]

Power Catch Wanda: The Board Game contains the following board game contents:

  • 1 game board
  • 14 Promin tokens
  • 14 Bugmin tokens
  • 1 battle roulette
  • 4 counters
  • 4 token pads
  • 1 dice
  • 25 cards (11 lucky and 14 storage)

Aim of the game[]

Setting up[]

First, the game board lays flat on a flat surface facing upwards. Then, the Promin tokens and the Bugmin tokens are placed in the game board's token slots. The Promin tokens go in the token slots with the green frames while the Bugmin tokens go in the token slots with the red frames. Each one of the 2, 3 or 4 players is given a counter (Each of the 4 counters contain a picture of Wanda.) and a token pad. The battle roulette is placed by the side of the game board. The counters are then placed on the start space. Then, the game begins.

Playing the board game[]

Each player takes a turn in this board game. The player has to roll the dice in order to move their counter either fowards or backwards. This board game lets each player move freely. Their turn ends if the player lands on a blank white space. If they land on a green space, they draw a card.

Battle and collecting tokens[]

If the player collects a token and lands on a red space, the player then must face another player in a battle using Promin and Bugmin tokens. Both players each have to spin for their number on the battle roulette. There are 4 numbers and a Promin or a Bugmin has to use an attack depending on which number the player lands on the battle roulette. The Promin or Bugmin wins if their attack number is higher than their opponent. The player takes the opponent's token if they win the battle.

There is a card in this board game which prevents battles.

Using the cards[]

This board game also contains 25 cards. 11 of which are lucky cards while the other 14 are storage cards.

  • The lucky cards have 5 types. They can be used at any time, even after storage. For example: A 'Charge Up!' lucky card is used to increase the attack power on the Promin or Bugmin token by the number shown on the card.
  • The storage cards have 9 types. They can be used immediatley.

Winning[]

In order to win, the player must collect either 6 Promin tokens or 6 Bugmin tokens on their token pad and then reach the goal.
