Mako (Japanese: マコ, Mako) is a character in Kamiwaza Wanda and Masato's younger sister. Mako is part of Masato's family of four even though her parents are not seen in the Kamiwaza Wanda anime series yet. She was first seen in bed at Kirakira Hospital. Her full name is Mako Kurosaki (Japanese: 黒崎マコ, Mako Kurosaki).

Appearance[]

Mako is a young girl with light-brown hair and brown eyes. She wears a pink dress.

Personality[]

Mako is a friendly young girl. She was a sick and weak child when she first appears in the original Kamiwaza Wanda anime season.

In the original anime season, Mako most often stays in bed until Wonder-Promin came to recover her.

Mako's favorite hobby is making origami paper animals. Her favorite Promin is Origamin.

In the series[]

Kamiwaza Wanda[]

Mako makes her debut in episode 33 when her older brother, Masato came to see her in Kirakira Hospital before the origami paper crafts came to life and after Yuto captures and debugs Bug-Origamin.

Illusions of Mako appear in episode 41 when they surround Masato. This was done by Bug-Memorymin.

Mako appears in a flashback in episode 42.

In episode 46, Mako saw the dark clouds in the sky as if Don Bugdez's monstrous form is around somewhere and she faints. Later, Wonder-Promin came to recover Mako, freeing her from the sickness and the coma.

In episode 47, Mako and her brother Masato wished Yuto, Mirai and Shuu good luck on their space journey. Later, she was seen making origami paper animals whilst spending time with Yuto's sister Yui who was drawing pictures.

In the manga[]

Kamiwaza Wanda (original manga series)[]

Mako makes her debut in a flashback in chapter 10 when she was seen in bed in a hospital as she is not feeling very well.

Mako made a fantasy appearance in chapter 11.

In chapter 13, after Don Bugdez was gone for good, Mako was recovered from her illness. She ran up to see her brother, Masato and hugs him. Later, Mako and her friend Yui were playing with Terara, Megaga and Gigaga who have now turned back into toys due to Don Bugdez's extinction.

Trivia[]

You might know that if Mako becomes the next Kamiwaza Power-Shooter, her Promin buddy would be Origamin because of Mako's favorite hobby.
Mako was loosely based on a real-life young girl named Sadako Sasaki whose goal was to fold 1000 origami paper cranes but died from leukemia at the age of 12 on the morning of October 25, 1955, after she folded only about 644 origami paper cranes.
Mako shares her initial name with Mako Kino, who is the daughter of Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter, from Naoko Takeuchi's 'Sailor Moon' franchise's short manga story 'Parallel Sailor Moon'.
