Kamiwaza Wanda (Japanese: カミワザ・ワンダ) is the first season of the monster-collecting Kamiwaza Wanda series created by Takara Tomy. It started airing in Japan on April 23, 2016 on TBS. This season of Kamiwaza Wanda is also known as the original season. It is aimed at children.

Plot[]

For the original season's episodes, see: Kamiwaza Wanda (season)/List of episodes

In a world where every event has been turned into programs, there are mysterious monsters known as "Promin" that maintain the world. However, many Promin who have turned into bugs known as "Bugmin" are responsible for many of the world's real-life bugs. Left alone, they may eventually turn into a big problem. The boy Yūto encounters the space dog Wanda, and the pair use a camera-like device and key items to capture Bugmin. Promin themselves are able to do things like "accelerate objects," "spew fire," or "create objects," through an ability known as "Kamiwaza" (miracle), and are able to fend off Bugmin with it. At first, the Bugmin only cause small, bothersome things, but it will soon elevate into a global scale threat.

Yuto Kamiya was an ordinary young boy, whose parents run a toy shop in Kirakira First Street, until one day he met a dog-like citizen (from outer space) at Kirakira Scrapyards. The dog-like citizen was named Wanda and he came from the Wonder-Star which was put into ice by his father the Wonder-King due to the planet itself being cursed and vulnerable to Bugmin invasions by Don Bugdez. Capturing and debugging Bugmins and collecting and summoning Promins, Yuto began his adventure as a Kamiwaza Power-Shooter, with Wanda as his Kamiwaza Teammate, and stop the situations caused by the Bugmins sent in by Don Bugdez, whose plan is to see the chaos on Earth evolve to its ultimate level, and his henchmen the Bug Bytes.
