Chubu-Nippon Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (Japanese: 中部日本放送株式会社 Chūbu Nippon Hōsō kabushiki gaisha), or CBC for short, is a Japanese channel known for broadcasting the Kamiwaza Wanda anime series on television in the Aichi and Gifu prefectures of the Chubu region as well as the Mie prefecture in the Kansai region.
Broadcasting history[]
CBC was first launched in December 1, 1956, following the establishment of the Chubu-Nippon Broadcasting Corporation television company 6 years before in December 15, 1950. It is one of the core station channels of the countrywide television company Japan News Network (Japanese: ジャパン・ニュース・ネットワーク Japan Nyūsu Nettowāku).
Like its Tokyo counterpart TBS, CBC had broadcasted many television programs throughout the years.
Starting in the early 1960's, CBC broadcasts the same anime shows TBS is broadcasting but in the Aichi and Gifu prefectures of the Chubu region and the Kansai region's Mie prefecture.
Kamiwaza Wanda[]
On April 23, 2016, CBC began broadcasting the Kamiwaza Wanda anime series in the Aichi and Gifu prefectures of the Chubu region and the Kansai region's Mie prefecture, starting with the anime series' debut self-titled original season.
The original Kamiwaza Wanda anime season is the only season of the series to air on CBC. Since April 2017, the Kamiwaza Wanda anime series went on a hiatus until a new anime season is announced, possibly for TV Aichi.
